Our Christmas donation: A proud day for us all at Kirkstall Precision Engineering

When we decided in a meeting that we wanted to do something for charity to end a crazy year, everyone agreed that a children’s hospice would be a great charity to support… after all, Christmas for children should be magical.

As our Operations Director, Iqbal Bahia, rightly said in a recent LinkedIn post, “In a year where most businesses have had a tough time. It’s very important to get off the wheel at times and look at whats really important.”

What really surprised us is the response we had to the donation drive for Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice. Not only did the Lego Store in Leeds donate a range of lego sets, but Smiths Metals and All-Pak Engineering also got in touch to say they wanted to contribute to our donation drive.

Yet again, we send our thanks to them. Your generosity has touched us all.

The really touching moment for our MD Adam Thornton, though came when he and Iqbal dropped off the Lego gifts at the Hospice.

“You really get a sense of the love, pride and passion for care that goes on in a place like Forget Me Not. The staff there were so thankful of the donation and went above and beyond to let us know how much the children will enjoy the gifts. It really puts 2020 in perspective for us and I’m sure this will not be the last time that Kirkstall Precision Engineering does something to support the wonderful work that goes on at this truly special place.”

As the year draws to a close and Christmas is upon us, we all at Kirkstall want to wish our clients, suppliers and employees and their collective friends and families a wonderful Christmas.

We also encourage you to send a gift, however small, to Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice, you can visit their site here.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Here’s to a better 2021 for us all.
